SEO Content Lead

**The Role - SEO Content Lead**:
We are currently looking for an experienced SEO Content Lead to join our Digital team. In other businesses, this role could be known as: _SEO Content Executive, SEO Content Manager, SEO Copywriter, Digital Copywriter, SEO & Content Manager, SEO & Content Executive._

- Be an in-house digital content expert who others know they can come to for sound SEO related content advice and training
- Take the lead with all our non-technical SEO content initiatives across the Bensons for Beds and eve sleep websites
- Stay on top of the latest SEO updates to take advantage of the latest advancements in optimisations for content
- Interpret and analyse data to inform decision making and recommendations,
- Be responsible for planning, briefing and measuring the results of all non-product SEO content (including but not limited to product lister page copy, FAQs, Sleep Hub articles)
- Report on and share results with wider stakeholders, gaining buy-in for how important it is and how effective it is as a digital marketing tactic
- Be hands on; researching and creating content as well as publishing it, using a variety of methods to obtain unique statistics and research for use within copy (surveys, polls, internal quotes etc.)
- Manage and streamline the content approval process
- Partner with other internal stakeholders (buyers, marketing, innovation team, legal etc.) to drive content initiatives to fruition
- Work closely with the SEO Manager to react to SEO trends and opportunities and feed into our technical SEO content initiatives
- Work closely with the Brand Manager to ensure content topics are on-brand and where relevant, are well supported by external specialists and partners
- Work closely with the digital marketing team (SEO, e-CRM, Performance, Social) to ensure content is unified and amplified across all digital channels
- Manage relationships with external suppliers of content
- Support the digital PR workstreams with keyword optimisation and content uploads

**Skills needed**:
We are looking for an experienced SEO Content Lead with the following skills, experience and attributes to be successful in this role:

- Passionate about copywriting with proven previous experience in SEO (within an e-commerce setting desirable)
- Commercial awareness and effective communication skills
- Proficient in content auditing, ideation, planning and management
- Able to manage external relationships including agency and content support
- Ability to prioritise and manage own workload alongside multiple deadlines
- Experience in measuring the results of copy created
- Educated to degree level (or equivalent)
- Confident taking ownership of non-product copy and driving results
- Keen to demonstrate a joined-up approach with wider marketing channels
- Confident explaining SEO issues and opportunities to all stakeholder levels with the ability to educate and energise others in relation to the benefits SEO driven content can bring
- Knowledge of keyword planning tools
- Keeps up to date with the latest Google algorithm updates, SEO content advancements and opportunities i.e. ways to target featured snippets and inclusion in Google News
