About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join our client's team in Wigan. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting a culture of safety across the organization, engaging employees at all levels to participate in safety initiatives and programs.

They will lead the Health & Safety Committee, facilitating regular meetings and follow-up on action items. Additionally, they will develop and deliver training for employees on health and safety practices, emergency procedures, and proper use of equipment.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a health and safety role within the food manufacturing industry. They will also have a strong understanding of OSHA regulations, HACCP, GMP, and other relevant health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create, review, and update health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits.
  • Develop and deliver training for employees.
  • Lead investigations into accidents, incidents, and near-misses.
  • Promote a culture of safety across the organization.
