The NHS is seeking a dedicated Clinical Administration Specialist to provide comprehensive support to the Oral and Maxillofacial Department at Lincoln Hospital. This is a full-time position requiring 37.5 hours of work per week.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for candidates who excel in office environments, possess excellent problem-solving skills, and are enthusiastic about supporting clinicians. As a Clinical Administration Specialist, you will be responsible for handling urgent and routine correspondence, tasks, and administration according to agreed practice and CQUIN standards. Your duties will include typing clinic letters, medical reports, and general correspondence as needed. You will also deal with patient inquiries by phone, email, or letter from various sources, including GPs, other hospitals, and consultants.

Responsibilities
  • Accurately complete administrative tasks and maintain confidentiality
  • Support day-to-day organization of the Consultant by upholding a diary, arranging meetings, appointments, annual leave, and study leave
  • Experience working in an office environment is advantageous; we welcome candidates looking to start within the NHS
Requirements
  • Typing, audio, and word processing skills to RSA III or equivalent knowledge acquired through further experience
  • GCSE English Language Grade C or equivalent
  • Medical secretary qualifications
  • Shorthand minimum 90 wpm
  • AMSPAR - medical terminology certificate
