Senior Maintenance Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Maintenance Officer to join our regional team in Scotland. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality and cost-effective facilities, property repairs, and maintenance services across Scotland.
Key Responsibilities- Line manage a team of maintenance surveyors, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet their performance targets.
- Support the delivery of a cost-effective maintenance service by operating within financial policies, procedures, and financial limits/budgets.
- Manage contractors in accordance with their contractual terms, ensuring they meet contract specifications and deliver value for money.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, contractors, and colleagues.
- Produce meaningful reports on contractor performance, cost, and maintenance issues to enable informed decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with CDM 2015 legislation, health and safety policies, and procedures.
- Qualification in surveying (RICS or CIoB membership desirable) or equivalent experience.
- Previous experience in a performance-focused environment, delivering key performance indicators.
- Experience of managing contractors, projects, and budgets.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport with stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office packages, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook, and SAP.
- Previous experience line managing staff, dealing with contractors, and conducting performance meetings.
- A competitive salary of £41,920, with an additional policy allowance of £5,416 per annum.
