Senior Maintenance Officer

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Maintenance Officer to join our team at Sanctuary Group. As a key member of our property services team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality maintenance services to our customers across Scotland.
Key Responsibilities
- Line manage a team of maintenance surveyors to ensure effective delivery of maintenance services
- Support the development and implementation of maintenance strategies to ensure cost-effective and efficient service delivery
- Manage contractors and suppliers to ensure compliance with contractual terms and specifications
- Ensure health and safety and healthy working conditions are promoted and maintained within the team
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Produce regular reports on contractor performance and maintenance issues to inform decision-making
- Manage and maintain relationships with internal and external customers to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
- Assist in the development and review of maintenance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Qualified to degree level in a relevant discipline (RICS or CIoB membership desirable)
- Previous experience in a maintenance management role, with a focus on performance and delivery
- Experience of managing contractors and suppliers to ensure compliance with contractual terms and specifications
- Proven ability to analyze and diagnose problems, and implement effective solutions
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders
- Proficient in Microsoft Office packages, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Previous experience of line managing staff and conducting performance meetings
- Experience working in the social housing sector, with knowledge of building regulations and current practices
