Maintenance Officer

Westerton Care Home is seeking a skilled Maintenance Officer to join our team on a permanent basis.
We are a luxury and modern care home providing high-quality Residential, Dementia, Respite & Nursing care for 106 residents. As a Maintenance Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the building and equipment are maintained to a high standard, ensuring the safety and comfort of our residents and staff.
Main Responsibilities:- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspecting equipment and performing basic repairs or preventative maintenance.
- Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify potential issues.
- Install appliances and equipment, and conduct garden/yard upkeep.
- Maintain, service, clean, and properly store equipment.
- Inspect and repair damages to building surfaces.
- Participate in projects, such as renovations, and report to a facilities or maintenance manager for issues.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Occasional evening and weekend work may be required, and you will be on-call for emergencies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

- Competitive hourly rate of £12.50.
