Job Summary

The Clinical Lead for Dermatology is a key role within The Medical and Diagnostic Care Group, responsible for providing leadership and clinical expertise to Consultants within the specialty.

Main Responsibilities

Act as a clinical lead and subject matter expert across Dermatology insourced services, providing advice and input to operational planning of new contracts.

Promote and advocate for the company within clinical networks and wider, to maximise opportunities for business development and engagement with existing and potential customers, partners, and clinicians.

Job Requirements

Provide indirect clinical supervision and leadership to specialty Consultants, across all sites and contracts, to ensure high standards of care are delivered at all times.

Support recruitment functions through networking and advocacy on behalf of the company, and be responsible for interview and approval of all doctor-grade clinicians across the specialty.

Set and periodically review clinical standards for the specialty, including minimum competence standards, log book data requirements, and specialty-specific updates and CPD requirements.

Person Specification

Experience

  • Dermatology or Plastics Consultant with at least 2 years' experience post-CCT.
  • Exceptional clinical standards, to act as lead clinical for the specialty with credibility among peers.
  • Experience of complaint management and governance.
  • Experience of networking and business development.
