About the Role

NELFT North East London Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Clinical Lead to join our team in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). The successful candidate will have a strong background in clinical leadership and a passion for delivering high-quality mental health services to children and young people.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical supervision to the team and support the development of clinical practice.
  • Lead the team in managing complex work and driving clinical excellence.
  • Work collaboratively with the Team Manager to monitor and evaluate team performance.
  • Provide specialist clinical knowledge and expertise in one-to-one work with young people and their families/carers.
  • Lead multi-disciplinary team (MDT) discussions and contribute to strategic development with the senior clinical leadership team.

About the Team

The NELFT CAMHS team works across a large geographical area of Essex, providing evidence-based treatments to children and young people and their families/carers within the iThrive Model. The successful candidate will be based in Chelmsford but will need to travel throughout Mid Essex.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a postgraduate qualification in psychological practice, professional registration, and extensive experience of working with children and adolescents with co-morbid difficulties and special needs. They will also have experience of multi-agency planning, facilitating meetings, and working with neurodiversity.

Induction and Support

NELFT places a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. The successful candidate will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks, including mandatory training, systems training, and the allocation of equipment.

Probationary Period

This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless they are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).
