About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

As a teaching assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with a range of SEND, including autism, speech and language difficulties, and complex needs.

  • Your Responsibilities:
  • Providing individualized support: Offer one-to-one support to children with SEND, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Assisting teachers: Work closely with teachers to deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual needs, ensuring that all children have access to a high-quality education.
  • Promoting a safe learning environment: Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that fosters positive relationships among pupils, staff, and parents.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with SEND: Previous experience working with children with SEND is essential for this role.
  • Positive attitude: A positive, patient, and proactive attitude is required to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
  • Strong communication skills: Excellent communication skills are necessary to work effectively with children, staff, and parents.
  • Enhanced DBS on Update Service: An enhanced DBS on the Update Service is required for this role.

Salary: £23,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
