We are seeking an Emergency Assessment Professional to join our innovative CAMHS Crisis Intervention & Home Treatment Team at Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. This role involves assessing young people in crisis, developing their care plans, and determining if hospital admission or home treatment/crisis intervention packages of care are necessary.

About the Role

Our team consists of mental health, learning disability, and children's nurses, social workers, Consultant psychiatrists, clinical fellows, an IAPT practitioner, youth worker, STR worker, and a Barnardo's keyworker. We offer a 24/7 service with on-call duties to cover the 136 suite and 24/7 mental health helpline for U18s.

Main Duties
  1. To assess young people in crisis and develop their care plan.
  2. To determine if hospital admission or home treatment/crisis intervention packages of care are necessary.
  3. To liaise with internal and external teams to ensure an appropriate level of support and transition following a crisis episode of care.
  4. To manage and respond to CAMHS 136 suite and provide support for the 24/7 mental health helpline for under 18s.

The salary for this role is approximately £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
