Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Moody's Analytics Structured Finance Advisory Services Team as a Associate. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing configuration, customization, and documentation related work for Moody's Analytics Issuer Solutions products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Converting detailed written 'payment priorities' into financial models using our proprietary software applications.
  • Providing support to existing MA Issuer Solutions clients.
  • Collaborating with other members of the MA Issuer Solutions implementation team to implement and configure Moody's proprietary ABS Suite Plus structured finance software products.
  • Advising clients on improving their securitization process to meet industry and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Developing expertise in reading securitization legal documents and identifying key structural terms.
  • Building reports using Crystal Reports, Microsoft SSRS and Excel.
  • Developing business requirements, designing, and executing SQL queries, and testing solutions to ensure they meet client requirements.
  • Interacting with clients to discuss, explain and reconcile data the modelling/reporting results.
Requirements:
  • Undergraduate or graduate degree with emphasis in finance, economics, engineering, accounting, math, computer science or related quantitative field.
  • 1-3 years of exposure to banking, credit and/or financial industry.
  • Background in structured finance, preferably on the issuer side (mortgages, auto loans, servicing loans, originating loans, and/or securitization of loans) is advantageous.
  • Strong quantitative skills and the ability to translate analysis into actionable tasks.
  • Working knowledge of RDBMS (Relational Database Management Systems) concepts.
  • Knowledge of SSRS, Crystal Reports experience is a plus.
  • Some coding experience (for example: SQL queries, VBA, Python) is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
  • Relevant working experience in areas such as mortgage and asset-backed securities, accounting firms, mortgage banking, loan servicing, fixed income investments, or rating agencies is a plus (minimum of 6 months experience).
