About the Role

Climate17 | B Corp™ is seeking a highly skilled Senior Biodiversity Consultant to join their team. As a key member of the delivery team, you will be responsible for supporting project delivery and business development, with a focus on biodiversity.

The ideal candidate will have a relevant background and experience in addressing ESG risks and opportunities on international projects. This role requires a self-starter who can take ownership of projects, manage project teams, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring successful project execution and exceeding client expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carrying out or playing a lead support role in site-based biodiversity surveys and assessments for international projects
  • Working with and applying major biodiversity safeguards and standards, such as IFC Performance Standard 6 and the Equator Principles
  • Designing and delivering biodiversity assessment and mitigation services with the aim of achieving no net loss/net gain for biodiversity
Requirements
  • 5-10 years in a similar role working on international biodiversity projects
  • Undergraduate degree in environmental, biological, biophysical, or social sciences (post-graduate degree preferred but not essential)
  • Deep understanding of key global biodiversity frameworks, global goals, and key biodiversity standards
