About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Biodiversity Consultant to join our team at Climate17 | B Corp®. As a key member of our delivery team, you will play a critical role in supporting our clients in addressing ESG risks and opportunities on international projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in biodiversity and experience in addressing ESG risks and opportunities on international projects. You will be responsible for supporting project delivery and business development, working closely with our clients to design and deliver biodiversity assessment and mitigation services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support project delivery and business development, working closely with clients to design and deliver biodiversity assessment and mitigation services
  • Conduct site-based biodiversity surveys and assessments for international projects, including ecological surveys, critical habitat assessments, and biodiversity impact assessments
  • Work with and apply major biodiversity safeguards and standards, such as IFC Performance Standard 6 and the Equator Principles
  • Develop and implement biodiversity management and monitoring plans, and biodiversity action plans
Requirements
  • 5-10 years of experience in a similar role working on international biodiversity projects
  • Undergraduate degree in environmental, biological, biophysical, or social sciences (post-graduate degree preferred but not essential)
  • Deep understanding of key global biodiversity frameworks, global goals, and key biodiversity standards
  • Strong technical background and project delivery in ecological services, terrestrial and/or marine biodiversity, and/or ecosystem services
