About the Role

Berkmann Wine Cellars is a leading wine importer in the UK, seeking an experienced Sales Account Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in wine sales and marketing, with a proven track record of building relationships with on-trade customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales budgets for volume, value, and profit margin for every listing
  • Add new profitable business without compromising sales in other sectors
  • Build business relationships between BWC and account base management levels
  • Provide forecasting accuracy and feedback to aid logistics
  • Develop a productive working relationship with Marketing, Logistics, and other departments
  • Manage pricing, promotional expenditure, and profitability for designated accounts
  • Champion discussions to ensure relationships between customer, producer, and BWC are beneficial to all parties

Requirements

  • Experienced in handling on-trade customers
  • Strong background in wine and education to WSET 2
  • Experience selling luxury brands advantageous
  • Experience working with Brand Owners and strategic brand development
  • Practical knowledge of using and interpreting market data
