TipTopJob is a leading provider of Wheelchair Services across the country, working closely with NHS, Local Authority, and Social Care Organisations to deliver high-quality services. We are seeking a skilled Community Health and Engagement Officer to join our East Sussex team in Eastbourne.

About the Role

The estimated salary for this role is £25,683 per annum, based on 30 hours per week. As a Community Health and Engagement Officer, you will be responsible for creating and managing stakeholder relationships, contributing to service quality assurance procedures, and promoting the social model of disability within the service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service User Engagement:
    • Promote the importance of user lived experience in the company, community, and among external stakeholders.
    • Create, recruit, and develop a service user forum/service improvement board to meet quarterly.
    • Attend internal meetings to stay up-to-date with daily operations and advocate for user experience.
  • Quality Monitoring and Improvement:
    • Attend monthly contract review meetings with the Integrated Care Board.
    • Implement improvements following complaints.
  • Service User Support:
    • Support users not eligible for wheelchair provision, identifying options available.
    • Support Service Users navigating the complaints process.

Requirements: A UK driving licence is essential, as well as lived experience of vulnerable children and adults, gained through personal or carer use. Experience of strategic and project planning and decision-making is also required.
