About the Role:

We are seeking an exceptional Humanities Teacher to join our team at EDEX. This is a full-time and permanent position, commencing in January 2025.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside a range of experienced teachers, including graduate teaching assistants who support student progress across Key Stages 3, 4 & 5.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspiring students in Humanities subjects at Key Stages 3, 4 & 5
  • Delivering high-quality lessons as part of a large team of Humanities Teachers
  • Coordinating KS3 and KS4 curriculum areas and pastoral responsibilities
  • Supporting student development and attainment
  • Maintaining accurate records and reports

Requirements:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be in the process of gaining
  • Strong academic record, including a degree, A Levels and GCSEs
  • Meet the 8 Teaching Standards to a 'Good' or 'Outstanding' level
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
