As the Proper Officer of Great Boughton Parish Council, the Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer is under a statutory duty to carry out various functions and serve or issue notifications required by law.

This includes ensuring that the instructions of the Council are carried out, advising on and assisting in the formation of overall policies, and producing information required for effective decision-making.

The Clerk is also accountable for all financial records and the proper administration of the Council's finances, as well as the effective management of its resources, sites, and premises.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary for this role, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

**Salary Range:** SCP 24 – 28 (£33,024 – £36,648 pa), pro-rata, based on experience and qualifications.

**Working Hours:** 20 hours per week.
