Biomedical Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Biomedical Scientist to join our team at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our Biochemistry department, you will play a vital role in providing a high-quality diagnostic service to patients.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out laboratory analyses, including reporting results and maintaining accurate records.
- Participate in the department's roster system, working flexible hours to ensure 24/7 service coverage.
- Undertake quality control procedures, identifying and addressing any issues that may impact patient care.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new laboratory techniques and technologies.
- Assist in the supervision and training of junior staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
- HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist.
- IBMS-accredited Biomedical Science degree.
- 12 months' experience in a UK-based laboratory setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Physical skills, including accurate eye-hand coordination.
