Job Title: Biomedical Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Biomedical Scientist to join our team at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. As a Biomedical Scientist, you will play a crucial role in providing a high-quality diagnostic service to patients, working closely with our clinical teams to ensure accurate and timely results.

About the Role:
  • Carry out laboratory analyses, including reporting results and maintaining accurate records.
  • Participate in the department's rosters, including out-of-hours shifts, to ensure 24/7 diagnostic service cover.
  • Undertake quality control procedures, examining quality control results to identify areas for improvement.
  • Assist in the supervision, training, and teaching of staff, participating in the department's training plan.
  • Maintain ongoing professional development, updating your professional portfolio and participating in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities.
Requirements:
  • HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist.
  • IBMS-accredited Biomedical Science degree.
  • 12 months' UK-based laboratory experience.
  • Keyboard skills and computer literacy.
  • Ability to demonstrate competency in laboratory techniques.
