About the Role:

We are excited to announce an exceptional opportunity for qualified Engineers interested in working in the Rail sector. As a Rail Engineer, you will contribute to the maintenance and reliability of critical rail infrastructure, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of Rail systems such as UPS, Signalling, Lighting and Trackside infrastructure.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine and preventive maintenance on trackside systems such as Signalling, Telecoms, Switches and crossings.
  • Perform regular inspections of critical installations to identify faults, wear, and potential safety hazards.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical issues promptly to minimise downtime and ensure continuous operation of railway services.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs for compliance and reporting purposes.
  • Work closely with other technicians, engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems with other railway infrastructure.
Requirements:
  • NVQ level 3 or City & Guilds qualification in Electrical, Mechanical or Avionic Engineering.
  • Full Licence: Car or Motorbike due to the future on-call nature of the position.
  • Hours: Working on a rotating roster of days, nights and weekends working a 35hr week.
  • Safety: Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to strict safety protocols at all times.
About the Salary:

The estimated salary for this role is £40,000 basic per annum, plus overtime and package. This offer provides a competitive remuneration package that reflects the skills and qualifications required for the position.
