We are seeking a skilled Housing Intervention Specialist to join our team at Wealden District Council.
Job Title: Housing Intervention Specialist
Location: Hailsham / Hybrid
Job Type: Full-time, Fixed Term (12 months)
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing proactive support to individuals and households at risk of homelessness, ensuring they access ongoing support and find suitable alternative accommodation.
- You will conduct home visits and assessments to identify individuals' needs and develop personalized plans to prevent homelessness.
- You will work closely with Housing Options Officers to discharge the Council's responsibilities under the Housing Act 1996.
- You will maintain accurate records and contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to homelessness prevention.
