Teaching Assistant - SEN Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our primary school team in Hailsham. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing specialist support to pupils with SEN, working closely with teaching staff to ensure every child reaches their full potential.

About the Role

You will be responsible for developing and implementing tailored support plans for pupils with SEN, drawing on your expertise to identify areas of need and implement targeted interventions. Your close collaboration with teaching staff will enable you to make a tangible impact on pupil outcomes.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • To design and deliver individualized support plans that cater to the unique needs of each pupil.
  • To work closely with teaching staff to monitor pupil progress and adjust support strategies accordingly.
  • To contribute to the development of whole-school policies and procedures that promote inclusive practice.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A deep understanding of SEN principles and practices, with a proven track record of delivering positive outcomes.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire confidence in pupils and colleagues alike.
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a dynamic team.

Estimated Salary Range: £29,000 - £34,000 per annum
