Academics Ltd: Behaviour Mentor

Estimated salary range for this role is between £22,000 - £28,000 per annum.


We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Behaviour Mentor to join our team at Academics Ltd in Hailsham. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of SEN and experience in working with children who have additional mental health needs.

The Behaviour Mentor will work closely with the school's teaching staff and therapists to deliver specific interventions that aim to boost students' learning, development, and well-being.

About the Role:

  • Assist the class teacher in providing a tailored learning experience for students.
  • Provide behaviour and pastoral support to students.
  • Take an active role in forward planning with therapists to ensure effective student outcomes.
  • Develop robust and effective relationships with students, including 1:1 and small group work.
  • Ensure safeguarding of students, adhering to established procedures.
  • Attend staff meetings and participate in Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

Requirements:

  • A proactive and patient approach when interacting with students.
  • An understanding of challenging behaviour and ability to adapt to any situation.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to develop positive relationships with children.
