Airfield Ground Lighting Technician

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team at East Midlands Airport as a Ground Lighting Maintenance Technician. As a key member of our Airfield Engineering team, you will be responsible for the routine maintenance, alignment, and installation of airfield ground lighting systems.
Main Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and installation of airfield ground lighting equipment, including high mast lighting, generators, and control systems.
- Document and record all maintenance activities in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the efficient running of the Airfield Engineering stores and assist in the training of trainee or apprentice engineers.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with current electrical regulations and company quality management procedures.
Requirements
- Experience in electrical engineering or a related field, with a recognized apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
- 18th Edition (BS7671) qualification and fault-finding experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to produce accurate technical drawings and professional reports.
- Methodical approach to problem-solving, critical thinking, and ability to use initiative.
