Airfield Ground Lighting Technician

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at East Midlands Airport. As an Airfield Ground Lighting Technician, you will be responsible for the routine maintenance, alignment, and installation of all Airfield Ground Lighting, including High Mast Lighting, generators, and control systems.
Main Responsibilities
- Document and record all maintenance, alignment, and installations as required by the Codes of Practice laid down by EMA Approved Maintenance Organisation
- Undertake routine maintenance and installation of all other Airport Aeronautical Ground Lighting equipment not included in the above as and when directed
- Attend courses as directed by the ATM to provide the level of competence necessary to carry out maintenance work on the Aeronautical Ground Lighting to the standards required by CAA/SRG
- Carry out planned maintenance schedules
- Assist and co-operate in the efficient running of the Airfield Engineering stores
- Assist as directed in the training of trainee or apprentice engineers
Requirements
We are looking for an experienced electrical engineer or contract electrician who has served a recognised apprenticeship. You will have fault finding experience and be 18th Edition (BS7671) qualified. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are also essential.
