Job Title: Airfield Operations Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Airfield Operations Manager to join our team at AmcoGiffen. As a key member of our Aviation business unit, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily management of various civil engineering and rail projects within our portfolio of work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that works are executed in accordance with the requirements of all applicable legislation, the Terms and Conditions of the contract, the Contract Health and Safety Plan, and the Work Package Plans and Task Briefing Sheets.
  • Manage and supervise the site operations, including labour, sub-contractors, plant, and materials necessary to complete the contract works.
  • Deliver the contract within programme and budget, and ensure that all company Health & Safety, Environmental requirements, and initiatives are implemented.
  • Liaise with site staff and commercial staff to ensure the works are delivered within tender allowances.
  • Produce and brief method statements and task briefings to all reporting personnel.
  • Ensure that Quality standards are achieved and are 'right first time.'
  • Monitor site progress against programme and ensure that robust records are maintained.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as an Agent or Sub Agent working on Aviation projects and frameworks.
  • Experience and a proven track record of successful project delivery for a Main Contractor/sub-contractor on Airfield works as a Supervisor or General Foreman.
  • Practical experience of civil Aeronautical Ground Lighting (AGL).
  • Ability to obtain Airside pass in the form of Basic Disclosure Certificate.
  • DfT recognised General Security Awareness Training.
  • 5-year checkable work history.
  • CSCS Card Holder, SMSTS, IOSH Environmental or SEATS, First Aid, TWC (client security purposes).
  • Clean UK driving license.
