Airport Ground Lighting Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at East Midlands Airport as a Ground Lighting Technician. The successful candidate will be responsible for the routine maintenance, alignment, and installation of all Airfield Ground Lighting, including High Mast Lighting, generators, and control systems.
Main Responsibilities
- Document and record all maintenance, alignment, and installations as required by the Codes of Practice laid down by EMA Approved Maintenance Organisation
- Undertake routine maintenance and installation of all other Airport Aeronautical Ground Lighting equipment not included in the above as and when directed
- Undertake any other duties of a similar responsibility level as may be prescribed from time to time, compatible with training and experience
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a methodical approach to problem-solving, critical thinking, and the ability to use their initiative. Excellent verbal skills are important to allow you to communicate with contractors, Air Traffic Control, colleagues, and senior leaders. Written communication skills are also vital to allow you to produce accurate technical drawings and professional reports.
