The Role:
As an experienced SEN Support Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the mental health, emotional well-being, and academic success of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). You will conduct psychological assessments, provide one-to-one and group-based therapeutic interventions, and offer practical strategies to support teachers and students.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct psychological assessments to identify individual student needs and inform tailored support plans.
• Provide one-to-one and group-based therapeutic interventions to promote emotional resilience and well-being.
• Utilize your experience as a Teaching Assistant to offer practical, classroom-focused strategies to support teachers and students.
• Work with SEN coordinators and staff to design inclusive teaching practices and behavioral strategies.
• Provide training and workshops to staff on SEN and mental health issues.
• Collaborate with families to offer guidance, support, and resources.
• Maintain accurate records and comply with statutory guidelines for SEN support.
