About the Role: A rewarding opportunity has arisen for a dedicated professional to join our exceptional Special Educational Needs (SEN) department at a highly regarded primary school in Enfield. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other SEN in a small Additional Resource Provision (ARP) class.

Job Description: As a Teaching Assistant, your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing one-to-one and group support to students with ASD.
- Collaborating closely with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure consistent support.
- Employing a range of communication strategies, including PECS and Makaton, if applicable.
- Helping manage sensory and behavioral needs through calm, nurturing interventions.
- Monitoring and recording student progress to support ongoing development.
Required Skills and Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Previous experience working with children with ASD or other SEN in a school setting.
- Knowledge of effective SEN strategies and communication techniques.
- A positive, empathetic attitude and a patient approach to learning challenges.
- A relevant qualification, such as a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant Certificate (desirable but not essential).
- A DBS certificate or willingness to obtain one.
