Regulating the Future of Cryptocurrencies

We are seeking a skilled Cryptocurrency Regulatory Expert to join our Payments and Digital Assets Directorate. The ideal candidate will have expertise in complex technical policy development, regulation of the cryptoassets sector, and experience engaging with diverse stakeholders.

About the Role:

  • Provide specialist advice to shape policy solutions for further regulating the sector
  • Ensure proposals are robust, evidenced, and benchmarked against traditional finance and international comparisons
  • Advise internal and front-line colleagues on the application of existing regulation
  • Drive forward own proposals, displaying judgment while managing stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Prior experience of complex technical policy development or regulatory rule application
  • Prior experience developing policy solutions using creative ways to overcome policy dilemmas
  • Understanding of what makes markets work well for consumers and the impact of regulation on consumers
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly communicating complex concepts to non-technical colleagues
  • Ability to demonstrate personal impact and influence and persuade stakeholders of your point of view
  • Experience engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Collaborative approach, with the ability to think strategically about future regulatory approaches
  • Some knowledge and/or experience of the cryptoassets sector

Salary Range: £67,100 - £90,000 per annum, National; £73,300 - £95,000 per annum, London
