Van Vliet is a leading international horticultural company, specializing in the supply of fresh-cut flowers, greenery, sundries, and potplants.

We are currently seeking an ambitious Wholesale Cash & Carry Assistant Manager to join our team in Southampton. This is an exciting and demanding role that requires flexible working hours, including evenings and weekends.

As a Wholesale Cash & Carry Assistant Manager, you will support the Cash & Carry Manager in ensuring high levels of customer service are delivered.

The successful candidate will be an excellent team player with a flair for making sound commercial customer decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support in maximizing the profitability of the Cash & Carry through effective control of sales, margins, and overheads.
  2. Assist in day-to-day productivity.
  3. Support in creating a customer/sales-focused working environment.
  4. Take initiative in spotting opportunities for growth.
  5. Liaise with Human Resources to ensure compliance with statutory law requirements.
  6. Promote a safe working environment within the team.
