Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Pharmacist to join our Clinical Pharmacy Team at the Queen Elizabeth site as a Senior Support Pharmacist.

About the Role

The successful applicant will become part of a large clinical pharmacy team, working closely with the Specialist Pharmacist for Surgery, medical practitioners, and nursing team members. They will manage and support band 6 pharmacists and clinical pharmacy technicians to improve patient stay in hospital while retaining direct patient contact.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop effective working relationships with the team and stakeholders.
  • Challenge and prioritize work to achieve high-quality patient care.
  • Provide clinical input to the Surgical wards and demonstrate expert knowledge in the clinical specialty.
  • Deliver a service in accordance with the priorities set by the Chief Pharmacist and the Trust agreed standards.
Requirements
  • Vocational Masters degree in pharmacy (or equivalent).
  • Completed or near completion of a postgraduate clinical pharmacy qualification.
  • Membership of the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Post-registration work experience as a pharmacist in hospital pharmacy, covering a range of specialties.
  • Previous participation in a multi-disciplinary team.
