About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Pharmacist to join our Clinical Pharmacy Team at the Queen Elizabeth site as a Senior Support Pharmacist.

The successful applicant will become part of a large clinical pharmacy team, working closely with the Specialist Pharmacist for Surgery, medical practitioners, and nursing team members.

As a Senior Support Pharmacist, you will be responsible for managing and supporting band 6 pharmacists and clinical pharmacy technicians, working to improve patient stay in hospital while retaining direct patient contact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop effective working relationships with the team and stakeholders
  • Challenge and prioritize your own work and the work of the team
  • Provide clinical input to the Surgical wards and demonstrate expert knowledge in the clinical specialty
  • Deliver a service in accordance with the priorities set by the Chief Pharmacist and the Trust agreed standards
  • Ensure the clinical services provided are of a high standard and that all prescribed medication is clinically screened in a timely manner
