Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Pharmacist to join our Clinical Pharmacy Team at the Queen Elizabeth site as a Senior Support Pharmacist. The successful applicant will become part of a large clinical pharmacy team, working closely with the Specialist Pharmacist for Surgery, medical practitioners, and nursing team members.

Main Duties

The Senior Support Pharmacist will be responsible for managing and supporting band 6 pharmacists and clinical pharmacy technicians, working to improve patient stay in hospital while retaining direct patient contact. The role requires the ability to develop effective working relationships, challenge, and prioritize work as well as the work of the team.

Person Specification
  • Vocational Masters degree in pharmacy (or equivalent)
  • Completed or near completion of a postgraduate clinical pharmacy qualification
  • Membership of the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Post-registration work experience as a pharmacist in hospital pharmacy, covering a range of specialties
  • Previous participation in a multi-disciplinary team
  • Commitment to own Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
