The Role
We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as an Event Management Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a highly reputable business that encourages career progression and offers excellent rates. As an Event Management Assistant, you will be responsible for logistically managing a variety of events, including awards ceremonies, conferences, and meetings.
Responsibilities
- Develop innovative event programs that align with EG's goals and target audience, working closely with the Editorial team and Head of Events.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify and secure high-quality speakers and performers.
- Research industry trends to introduce new ideas and formats that enhance the attendee experience.
- Produce individual event budgets and P&Ls, communicating effectively with finance and Head of Events to ensure events are delivered within budget.
- Own and manage all aspects of event logistics, including venue selection, supplier coordination, and on-site management.
- Develop detailed event timelines, floor plans, and production schedules to ensure smooth delivery.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and risk management protocols.
- Work closely with the Event Marketing Manager and team to develop and execute event marketing strategies that drive attendance and engagement.
- Assist in the creation of promotional materials, including brochures, flyers, email campaigns, and social media content.
- Work closely with the sales team to deliver on partnership proposals, leading communication with partners to ensure efficient follow-up.
- Run events onsite and take full responsibility for operations.
Requirements
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Knowledge of the commercial real estate industry is an advantage.
- Experience in curating content for B2B and B2C events, conferences, exhibitions, and large-scale events.
- Strong project management skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality results on time and within budget.
- Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring all aspects of event planning and execution are thoroughly managed.
- Creative problem-solving ability and can remain calm under pressure.
