Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to lead a dynamic team of 14 professionals. This role offers the chance to make a significant impact on our financial operations and work closely with senior management to build a best-in-class service for our suppliers and the business.

  • Lead the Payables team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.
  • Manage end-to-end accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate recording of transactions.
  • Oversee direct debit payments within guidelines.
  • Create and monitor team KPIs to enhance productivity.
  • Collaborate with the property team to ensure accurate lease information and payments.
  • Approve supplier payments and manage cash flow effectively.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide development opportunities.
  • Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Maintain positive relationships with suppliers and resolve queries promptly.
  • Generate regular reports on accounts payable activities and relevant metrics.

This role operates under a hybrid model with 2-3 days per week on-site, supporting flexibility and productivity.

Person Specification

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced candidate who:

  • Is AAT qualified or studying towards a professional qualification.
  • Has experience in an Accounts Payable Manager role.
  • Has in-depth knowledge of P2P processes, preferably in a retail context.
  • Has experience of managing a team, with a focus on development and motivation.
  • Has excellent communication skills for both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
  • Can support and implement process improvements.
  • Has strong Excel skills.
  • Has a collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams.
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is around £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience. Our benefits package includes:
