Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Purchase Ledger Assistant to join our team at Huntress. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for maintaining a busy accounts email inbox, ensuring all bank reconciliations are completed on time, and processing credit card transactions and reconciliations using Sage 200.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Email Inbox Management: Maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail to ensure all emails are responded to in a timely manner.
  • Bank Reconciliations: Ensure all bank reconciliations for GBP and Euro bank accounts, Western Union, and Petty Cash are completed monthly by the required deadline.
  • Credit Card Transactions and Reconciliations: Process credit card transactions and reconcile monthly using Sage 200.
  • Purchase Ledger Processes: Complete all purchase ledger processes, including reconciling supplier invoices to POs and resolving differences.
  • Postponed VAT Accounting: Ensure all supplier invoices are processed with the correct tax code in accordance with PVA rules and reconcile monthly PVA and C79 statements.
  • Staff Expenses: Manage the staff expenses process, ensuring VAT receipts are supplied and setting up bank payments.
  • Weekly Updates: Provide a weekly update to the Finance Manager.

Requirements:

  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years recent experience in a similar role.
  • Skills: Self-motivated with good communication and organizational skills, able to think outside the box and think on your feet.

A competitive salary range of £24k - £27k (FTE) depending on experience, which will be pro-rata to 25-27.5 hours per week, and the opportunity to work in a busy and varied finance role with flexibility and work-life balance.
