About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Employment Law Advisor to join our team at Avencia Consulting. As an Employment Law Advisor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality legal advice on employment-related matters to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality legal advice on employment-related matters through various communication channels
  • Review and assist with the drafting of documentation
  • Work in accordance with agreed service levels
  • Manage your workload to ensure a high standard of productivity and efficiency
  • Maintain a sound working knowledge of all aspects of commercial and employment law
  • Liaise with and support colleagues in a team-like manner
  • Ensure relevant shifts are covered, including day and out-of-hours rotas
  • Maintain and produce paper-based and electronic records as required
  • Liaise with the business's Litigation Unit and Manchester office as necessary

Requirements:

  • Full knowledge and understanding of Employment Law, including redundancy, TUPE, disciplinaries, flexible working, etc.
  • Experience of communicating effectively in a professional environment with a range of people
  • Good IT skills across Microsoft, Word, Outlook
  • Excellent data entry skills and attention to detail/accuracy
  • Excellent customer care skills, and an ability to empathise with clients where necessary
  • Be commercially aware at all times and to offer both practical and legal solutions
  • Have an analytical and problem-solving approach to advice
  • Be flexible and adaptable within the commercial unit and assisting the various employment teams as necessary
  • Be able to work in a fast-paced environment and uphold company standards
  • Have good document drafting skills and an eye for detail
  • Have the ability to gain and retain client confidence
  • Have sound working knowledge of all appropriate electronic research facilities
