About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Employment Law Specialist to join our team at Avencia Consulting. As an Employment Law Advisor, you will play a key role in providing high-quality legal advice on employment-related matters to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver expert legal advice on employment law matters, including redundancy, TUPE, disciplinaries, and flexible working.
  • Review and assist with the drafting of documentation, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Work in accordance with agreed service levels, maintaining a high standard of productivity and efficiency.
  • Manage your workload effectively, ensuring a sound working knowledge of commercial and employment law.
  • Liaise with colleagues and support the operational needs of the business.
  • Ensure relevant shifts are covered, including day and out-of-hours rotas as applicable.
  • Maintain and produce paper-based and electronic records as required.
  • Liaise with the business's Litigation Unit and Manchester office as necessary.
Requirements
  • Full knowledge and understanding of Employment Law, including redundancy, TUPE, disciplinaries, and flexible working.
  • Experience of communicating effectively in a professional environment with a range of people.
  • Good IT skills across Microsoft, Word, and Outlook.
  • Excellent data entry skills and attention to detail/accuracy.
  • Excellent customer care skills, with the ability to empathize with clients where necessary.
  • Be commercially aware at all times, offering practical and legal solutions.
  • Have an analytical and problem-solving approach to advice.
  • Be flexible and adaptable, working in a fast-paced environment and upholding company standards.
  • Have good document drafting skills and an eye for detail.
  • Have the ability to gain and retain client confidence.
  • Have a sound working knowledge of all appropriate electronic research facilities.
