Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Welfare Benefits Adviser to join our team at Essential Employment Ltd. As a Welfare Benefits Adviser, you will play a crucial role in providing a comprehensive welfare benefits casework service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a full welfare benefits casework service to clients, including all available welfare benefits and tax credits, such as disability benefits and other sources of financial help.
  • Encourage full take-up of benefit entitlements through home visits and outreach advice sessions in various locations.
  • Initiate, develop, and promote targeted take-up campaigns for residents, devising appropriate publicity and helping clients complete benefit claim forms.
  • Prepare cases for representation and benefit tribunals by researching and applying relevant law and case law, and seeking specialist advice when needed.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of welfare benefits and tax credits.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
