Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Payroll Team Leader to join our team at Portfolio Payroll Limited. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the payroll team, ensuring timely and accurate service delivery.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in payroll management, with advanced knowledge of legislation and procedures. You will also possess strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to advise senior management and employees on payroll matters.

About the Role

As the Payroll Team Leader, your key responsibilities will include:
  • Managing and overseeing the payroll team, ensuring timely and accurate service delivery.
  • Advising senior management and employees on payroll matters, legislation, and procedures.
  • Ensuring changes in payroll legislation and policies are interpreted and implemented promptly and effectively.
  • Producing and reconciling year-end data, ensuring statutory deadlines are met.
  • Acting as a subject matter expert, contributing to key projects and policy development.
  • Providing leadership and development to the payroll team, setting workloads, monitoring performance, and meeting deadlines.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
  • Worked within a higher educational institute or have experience with Resource Link payroll software.
  • Advanced payroll management skills and competence with all aspects of start to finish payroll.
