A close-knit payroll team of 5 are looking to expand by hiring a 6th member

Are you a detail-oriented and highly organised individual with a passion for numbers and a strong understanding of payroll processes? A close-knit and friendly payroll team is seeking a skilled Payroll Officer to join them. As a Payroll Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of weekly and monthly payroll for our growing organisation.

**Responsibilities**:

- Process weekly and monthly payroll accurately and efficiently for a diverse range of employees
- Maintain payroll records and ensure data integrity, including salary adjustments, bonuses, benefits, and deductions
- Verify attendance, hours worked, and leave balances to calculate accurate payments
- Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies
- Handle payroll-related queries and provide assistance to employees regarding pay-related matters
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports to relevant stakeholders
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of payroll taxes and statutory deductions
- Stay up-to-date with payroll best practices, tax regulations, and employment laws

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in payroll processing or a related field
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes, tax laws, and employment regulations
- Proficiency in using payroll software and MS Office suite (particularly Excel)
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with numerical data accurately
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- High level of integrity and confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information
