About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Infection Prevention Specialist to join our team at NHS Jobs. As a key member of our infection prevention and control team, you will play a critical role in safeguarding the health and well-being of our patients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective infection prevention and control strategies to minimize the risk of healthcare-associated infections.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and provide expert advice on infection prevention and control measures.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure compliance with infection prevention and control policies and procedures.
  • Provide education and training to staff on infection prevention and control best practices.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of infection prevention and control measures and make recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in infection prevention and control, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong knowledge of infection prevention and control policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
