About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Infection Prevention Specialist to join our dynamic Infection Prevention Service team at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of infection prevention and control strategies across the organization, working closely with healthcare professionals to promote a culture of safety and excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement infection prevention and control policies and procedures
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to healthcare professionals on infection prevention and control practices
  • Conduct risk assessments and investigations to identify and mitigate infection risks
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote a culture of safety and excellence
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Registered Nurse on the NMC register
  • Professional or clinical qualification relevant to the specialty or evidence of working towards
  • Evidence of study at degree level

You will also need to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
