Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Infection Prevention Specialist to join our dynamic Infection Prevention Service team at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of infection prevention and control strategies across the organization, working closely with healthcare professionals to promote a culture of safety and excellence.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement infection prevention and control policies and procedures
  • Conduct risk assessments and provide guidance on infection prevention and control practices
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to promote a culture of safety and excellence
  • Provide education and training on infection prevention and control practices
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of infection prevention and control strategies

Person Specification

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Infection Prevention Specialist who possesses the following qualifications and skills:

  • Registered Nurse on the NMC register
  • Professional or clinical qualification relevant to the speciality or evidence of working towards
  • Evidence of study at degree level
  • Update research and evidence-based practice
  • Experience of working in infection prevention and control
  • Evidence of continual professional development
  • Evidence of ability to effectively co-ordinate a team
