Senior Artist

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Artist to join our team at PlayStation. As a Senior Artist, you will be responsible for creating AAA-quality character models that meet the design and direction, following existing pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Produce high-quality character models that meet the design and direction.
  • Work closely with the Character Art and Concept teams and be receptive to feedback from the Art Director and Lead Character Artist.
  • Collaborate with Technical Art and Technical Animation to ensure all assets are efficient and fit for purpose.
Requirements:
  • Experienced Character Artist in games development.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates a high degree of Artistic ability, particularly experience of making clothes, hair and accessories.
  • Expertise in sculpting, 3D modeling in Maya/Max and PBR texturing of Realtime characters in Substance Painter.
  • The capacity to address both creative and technical problems.
  • Solid understanding of character topology, and the ability to make well-optimised and animation-friendly meshes.
  • Experience with Unreal engine.
  • Knowledge of AAA hair authoring workflows.
