Child and Adolescent Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Adult and Child Psychiatrist to join our team at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Te Matau a Máui Hawke's Bay.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality psychiatric care to children, adolescents, and adults in the Hawke's Bay region. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic and child-centered care, addressing the complex needs of our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership to the multidisciplinary team, promoting continuous quality improvement and best practices in child and adolescent mental health care.
- Work flexibly to meet the diverse needs of our patients, including those with complex presentations and high-risk behaviors.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, incorporating evidence-based interventions and therapies.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including general practitioners, psychologists, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of policies and procedures that enhance patient outcomes.
- Hold, or be eligible for, Vocational Registration as a Child Psychiatrist with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
- Have a wide range of general psychiatric skills, with experience in working with children, adolescents, and adults.
- Be passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centered care, with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
