**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Study Skills Support Specialist to join our team. As a Specialist-one-to-one Study Skills Support Worker, you will provide learning support and academic guidance to students with specific learning difficulties, helping them to develop independence, build on strengths and learning strategies, and create strategies around organisation and time management.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Provide one-to-one learning support and academic guidance to students with specific learning difficulties
  • Develop and implement individual learning plans tailored to each student's needs
  • Support students to develop independence, build on strengths and learning strategies, and create strategies around organisation and time management
  • Collaborate with students, parents, and educators to ensure a comprehensive support system
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on student progress

**Requirements:**

  • Membership with one of the following professional bodies: British Dyslexia Association (BDA), Professional Membership The Association of Dyslexia (ADSHE), Dyslexia Guild, or The Professional Association of Teachers of Students with Specific Learning Difficulties (PATOSS)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to identify ways of helping students to build on their learning strengths while maintaining a confidential and professional working relationship
  • Punctuality and reliability
  • Good organisational skills
  • Ability to manage a caseload of students

**Desirable Skills:**

  • Experience of working with clients with specific learning difficulties
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Ability to identify ways of helping students to build on their learning strengths while maintaining a confidential and professional working relationship
  • Punctuality and reliability
  • Good organisational skills
  • Ability to manage a caseload of students
