We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Study Skills Specialist to join our team at Randstad. As a Study Skills Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing one-to-one learning support to students with specific learning difficulties (SpLDs) at universities and colleges in the UK.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement individualized learning plans tailored to the needs of each student.
- Provide academic guidance and support to students, helping them to become independent learners.
- Assist students in developing strategies for organization, time management, and research skills.
- Help students to create action plans to stay on track with their studies and achieve their academic goals.
- Support students in building their comprehension skills in reading and writing.
- Membership with one of the following professional bodies: British Dyslexia Association (BDA), Professional Membership The Association of Dyslexia (ADSHE), Dyslexia Guild, or The Professional Association of Teachers of Students with Specific Learning Difficulties (PATOSS).
- Experience working with clients with specific learning difficulties.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to identify ways of helping students build on their learning strengths while maintaining a confidential and professional working relationship.
- Punctuality and reliability.
- Good organizational skills.
- Ability to manage a caseload of students.
