We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Specialist Study Skills Tutor to join our team at Randstad Student Support. As a Specialist Study Skills Tutor, you will play a vital role in providing academic support and guidance to students with specific learning difficulties (SpLDs) at universities and colleges in Salford.

About the Role
  • Provide personalized learning support and academic guidance to students with SpLDs, helping them to develop independence and build on their strengths and learning strategies.
  • Create tailored learning plans that cater to each student's unique needs and abilities.
  • Support students in developing effective organization and time management skills, as well as research skills and comprehension skills in reading and writing.
  • Help students identify and utilize appropriate sources, and use references correctly.
Requirements
  • Hold membership with one of the following professional bodies: British Dyslexia Association (BDA), Professional Membership The Association of Dyslexia (ADSHE), Dyslexia Guild, or The Professional Association of Teachers of Students with Specific Learning Difficulties (PATOSS).
  • Meet the qualification framework set out by the Department for Education (DfE).
